Changing your electricity supplier in Ukraine is a free and free of charge procedure regulated by the Law of Ukraine “On the Electricity Market”
The consumer has a right to choose a new supplier at any time without the consent of the previous supplier, provided that the formal procedure is followed.
Key steps in switching to a new supplier
Preparation of documents
The consumer prepares a package of documents for concluding a contract with a new supplier (i.e. LLC ‘’ETG’’):
- Extract from USREOU or statutory documents
- An agreement on distribution concluded with the DSO
- Technical characteristics of the distribution point (EIC code)
- Signatory authority (order or power of attorney)
If there is no agreement with the DSO, we will help conclude it in parallel.
Conclusion of a contract with LLC ‘’ETG’’
After receiving the package of documents, we:
- we check the information within 1-2 business days;
- we prepare and agree on an electricity supply contract;
- we agree on a commercial offer and tariff.
Notification of change of supplier
LLC ‘’ETG’’ sends a request to the Transmission System Operator (NPC UKRENERGO) and your DSO via the Market Management System (MMS).
The change of supplier takes place from the 1st of the following month if the application is submitted by the 20th of the current month.
Confirming the change
After approval in MMS, your metering point appears in our list as a new client.
- You will receive confirmation by email
- We agree on the date of the first supply
- The previous supplier has no right to obstruct or demand payment for a such transition за «перехід»
